The Innovation Problem

This video looks at the innovation problem from a numerical perspective. McKinsey found that 84% of executives thought innovation was essential to their growth… But only 6% were happy with innovation performance (ie 94% were unhappy!). PWC find that 54% of innovating companies fail to bridge the gap between innovation and business.

It summarises that even though Drucker pointed out in 1954 that innovation was one of only two functions a firm should have, here we are 60+ years later with innovation under performing; and that very few executives know why or how to fix it.
